United together, we're building a better Austin for everyone. Here's how to get involved.
Join us on Thursday April 22nd, for our annual tradition of gathering with neighbors in service of our community for Spring Season of Caring. United Way for Greater Austin brings people, ideas, and resources together to fight poverty in our community. Keeping COVID-19 safety in mind, we are opting to host a virtual gathering of community, and we have curated some socially distanced offerings for any individuals or groups to participate in on your own throughout Spring Season of Caring.
Join us this Earth Day to reflect on how together, we are building a safe and stimulating community for everyone in Austin/Travis County. Live United with us and engage, learn, and take action to move us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a "Beloved Community."

Spring Day of Caring: Socially Distanced Activities
Live United and take pride in your community! We encourage you to take part in any of these self-guided community beautification activities on your own time throughout Spring Season of Caring.
Pick one of these curated Community Beautification Routes that piques your interest. Spend an hour volunteering, learning, exploring, and collecting trash. We’ve curated a few different locations around town to help you get to know Austin's past and present.

What if you can’t to make it to one of these curated routes?
Beautify where you live! We invite you to clean up trash and beautify where you live, whether it’s in your front yard, on your street, around your local elementary school, or a nearby creek. Our partners at Keep Austin Beautiful are offering FREE Cleanup Kits to community members while supplies last through their “Love Where You Live Day,” May 8th, 2021. More details can be found here.
We encourage all volunteers to follow the City of Austin Public Health and CDC safety guidelines. Please practice safe social distancing and wear masks during your clean-up. For more information on the City of Austin recommendations for COVID-19 safety please see the Austin Public Health website.
