Disaster Response Training Virtual 2024

Join us for our Disaster Response Volunteer Training, so you’re ready to support our 2-1-1 helpline in the event of a disaster during peak hurricane season: August through October. During these two sessions, you’ll be trained to answer calls, navigate local resources, and support fellow Texans in the event of a disaster.
Disasters are unpredictable, but help shouldn’t be. United Way’s Navigation Center, including our 2-1-1 helpline, supports Texans during some of their most challenging times, and we’re offering free training for people interested in volunteering to answer calls.
Volunteers should have basic computer knowledge, be able to answer calls for two or more two-hour shifts, and have a desire to join us on our mission to break economic barriers and build opportunity for all.
Sign up for the virtual training, and we will share the meeting information with you before your chosen session.
