Grant Awarded (Cedar Bend Center) - Volunteers Needed!
Our Cedar Bend location has recently been awarded an AMAZING garden grant to support our Outdoor Learning Environment (OLE). Cedar Bend Child Development Center serves 74 children in the 78758 zip code, and this project will ensure that the children at our center have valuable, educational experiences in nature settings leading to lifelong respect for our food resources and the environment.
The grant provides all the gardening supplies (raised beds, soil, pots, seeds, plants, etc.) necessary, we just need volunteers!!! Great opportunity for a group community service project!
