Family STEM Fun - Forbes
In partnership with The Thinkery (Austin's Children's Museum) we are hosting a Family STEM Fun Day! We need volunteers to help set up and host booths at our Forbes Center. Volunteers will assist with activities that support learning models that are currently being taught in the classrooms. Examples:
Chemical Reactions = vinegar and baking soda
Tinkering Trays = assortment of objects to create
Building Bridges = blocks, paper, flat marbles and cars
Bubbles = different wands to make bubbles
Perfect for individuals or a small group of 10-15 volunteers!!!
Child, Inc., an independent 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation, is the Head Start program for Travis County, founded in 1972. We provide early childhood development programs for children from low-income families, with comprehensive services including education, health, dental, nutrition, and mental health services, along with special education for children with disabilities. Our goal is to provide each child with the necessary attention to promote the child’s growth, maturation and school readiness. We operate 14 child development centers located throughout Travis County, and follow the AISD calendar of operation.
